Interim Management in UK Automotive Sector

We have actively supported automotive component and systems suppliers in GB and Northern Ireland, to achieve improvements in component delivery to their OEM customers. Examples:

  • Ryobi Castings UK Ltd - interim project engineer, working on the Invest Northern Ireland Technology Audit Scheme, to evaluate work-in-progress inventories and to assess alternative operating strategies and equipment layouts to minimise the level of in-plant stocks. We also worked with this client on mechanical handling systems and equipment selection.
  • GKN Axles in Birmingham - interim project management team to equip a 10,000 sq m facility for axles for IBC Vehicles. This programme, with a total capital investment value of £20m, was scheduled to meet the OEM job 1 date.
  • Keiper (Recaro), Birmingham - interim project engineer to support productivity programmes at the West Midlands Keiper plant allocated to manufacture, assembly and lineside delivery of seats for Range Rover, Solihull. The projects involved automation of welding processes and a review and revamp of the in-plant storage facilities to meet the OEM delivery schedules.
