Our interim management UK assignment work usually covers in GB and Northern Ireland. But we have worked in Iraq ! Our team there managed the engineering, procurement, supervision of installation and commissioning of food sector projects for the Ministry of Agriculture in Iraq. We handled seven poultry production sites - installation of processing and cold storage facilities. Plant total capacity on three shifts was 50,000 tonnes of packaged, chilled product per annum.
Interim Management - UK Case Study
For GKN Vending Services, we handled the setting up, engineering, equipment and supervision of site work on six UK vending supply and service sites. This supported the client's GB-wide strategy for meeting a fast growing market for vending services. Premises were developed and upgraded to fully equipped 24/7 operations. The service centres each supported its local vending machine inventory, in total in UK, adding up to 30,000 installations.
The vending services premises were equipped with equipment servicing and testing equipment. Each site carried commonly required spare parts, consumables and ingredient stocks. All service centres were equipped with on line terminals linking to a central database at the company's West Midlands HQ.
Current Interim Management UK Activities
In West Midlands, we are currently working on the re-layout and revamp of three sites for a client in the bakery goods sector. Projects involve engineering, contractor procurement, supervision of site work and re-commissioning. The client needs to maintain production from the existing process lines throughout. This major project started in mid 2006 and is scheduled for completion early in 2007. The production upgrades will provide additional capacity and throughput to meet expanding home market demand.
